—thrilled to have been selected to appear in Waxwing with not one but two poems–all my thanks to this awesome journal.
“Spy” is a poem I wrote after reading a poem from Marie Howe and so owes a nod of gratitude to Howe for her inspiration. And the “stages” poem is an attempt to capture a moment I think about often–not just the moment then but also that moment as I recall it now.
