2015 Phantom Books Emerging Poets

Interview-Caravaggio

**Phantom Books was founded in Chicago in January, 2010. In 2012, the masthead grew to include folks from Brooklyn, New York. In 2013, we launched a print chapbook series, featuring small collections of poetry in hand-sewn, screen-printed editions. We also run a reading series, EMPIRE, in conjunction with Art Cafe in the Prospect Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn.
It is part of Phantom’s mission to consistently include emerging poets alongside some of the most influential and experienced talents of our time. Some of our notable contributors include Carl Phillips, Nick Flynn, Laura Kasischke, Matthew Rohrer and Dorothea Lasky. Annually, we publish an Emerging Poets Issue for writers who have not yet published full-length collections. We encourage you to investigate our past issues if you are looking for details on what we enjoy publishing in the journal.
For more information on our roots, check out this interview over at The Poetry Society of America, where founder Kelly Forsythe discusses the details. We’ve also been mentioned on FlavorwireColumbia Poetry Review, and elsewhere.**
