I am so happy to appear at Hobart with this poem! The first draft of this piece was done on Keith Haring’s birthday: I was thinking about how Haring’s work seemed to me to marry a certain whimsy with seriousness and I wanted to attempt that same thing to talk about these great guys I grew up with that mean a lot to me.
